This is a very slick site containing a great deal of information and some impressive graphics.  Much of it is useful and informative, but there are ads for things that are fringy - so ignore them.

David Baldwin’s excellent website covers all sorts of research-based information on the effects, treatment, evaluation, and understanding of trauma.  A true diamond.

PsychCentral

John Grohol’s site is filled with information about various disorders, kinds of therapy, and medications. His sources seem very good, so I believe the content can be trusted.

 

Forensics

David’s Forensic Links

This is a clearinghouse for connections to literally hundreds of other forensic websites on the Internet.  For that, it can be very useful and save you time if you are looking for something specific.

Zeno’s Forensic Site

This is the slickest and classiest of the clearinghouse sites. It is, nonetheless, of great value and very trustworthy regarding its facts.  It offers many things the others do not.

Forensic Psychology Education

John Jay College of Criminal Justice

A great resource for those interested in pursuing the career of forensic psychology. One of the first major schools to offer a PhD in forensic psychology.

Internet Mental Health

This site has a long history and is well thought-of throughout the mental health community.  It is a font of information on many aspects of the subject and is well-regulated.

Encyclopedia of Psychology

The Psychology Department at Jackson State University has hosted this website for many years. It is wonderful place to learn about all aspects of psychology with a clear sense that everything has been carefully researched and vetted before getting onto the site.

Reddy’s Forensic Pages

As in the previous, it is a clearinghouse for other websites dealing with forensic knowledge.  It is very broad and offers many things that are not available on the other clearinghouse sites.

 

Harvard Forensic Psychiatry

As would be expected from such a source, the information is voluminous, sophisticated, and very medically technical. It is probably the best source for information of that nature.

Steve Stosny’s website contains information and tools for helping a person deal with anger mismanagement. In addition to his books, one of which is listed on the previous page, you will find a number of CDs and other helping aids.

The following sites are places you can go if you are seeking a therapist in your area.  There are many other such sites as well, but these are three of the largest and most subscribed.

This is a large site with many articles and descriptions of all the various kinds of psychological assessment instruments.  The research seems up to date.

Ken Pope’s Psychology Site

This is the website of one of the premier researchers and authors of the MMPI, MMPI-2, and the MMPI-A.  He has strong opinions on many subjects within the profession and you can be sure his citings and research are up to date. This is a worthy site to bookmark and visit often.
